Catechist and Assistant Catechist

Catechist Wanted

Catechists teach religious education to children in 1st - 12th grade. Catechetical aides assist the lead catechist in the classroom.

Adults and Confirmed high school students with a good knowledge of Catholic beliefs and practices, and a willingness to share their Catholic faith with children, may serve as catechists and assistants. The time commitment is (90) minutes per week plus preparation time.

Religious Education classes are Sunday mornings from 10:45am to 11:45 am. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Religious Education Office.

All volunteers are required to have a cleared background check conducted by the diocese's Office of Child and Youth Protection and complete the necessary training videos.
